These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Univers Studio website at univers.studio and all related tools, APIs, and services (the "Service"), operated by Univers Studio ("we", "us", "our").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- "Service" — the Univers Studio online platform at univers.studio and all related tools, APIs, and features.
- "Generated Content" — any graphic files (PNG, SVG, PDF, or other exported formats) produced by the Service from your inputs.
- "User" or "you" — any person accessing or using the Service, with or without an account.
2. Description of the Service
Univers Studio provides online tools for generating printable creative content, including but not limited to:
- Photo to Coloring Page conversion
- Color by Number generation
- Mystery Mosaic generation
- AI Image generation
- Name Coloring page generation
- PDF to Flipbook conversion
- PDF to Video conversion
3. Age Restriction
The Service is intended for users aged 18 or older (or 16 in the European Union with parental consent). By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
4. Accounts
4.1 Account creation
Some features require creating an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
4.2 One account per person
Each account is strictly personal and non-transferable. You may not share your login credentials, access tokens, or account with any other person or entity.
If we detect account sharing (e.g., simultaneous sessions from multiple IP addresses in different locations), we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the account without refund.
4.3 Accurate information
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. We may terminate accounts created with false information.
5. Free and Paid Plans
5.1 Free tier
The free tier provides 3 credits per month. No account or credit card is required to use free credits. Free credits do not roll over.
5.2 Paid subscriptions
Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time. Credits are available until the end of your billing period.
5.3 Credit usage
Credits are consumed per generation. Different tools and quality levels may consume different amounts of credits, as described on the Pricing page.
6. Refund Policy
6.1 Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
In accordance with Articles L221-18 and L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. However, by subscribing and checking the required consent box before payment, you:
- Expressly request that the Service begins immediately;
- Acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal.
As a result, no refund is due after payment is confirmed, except as described below.
6.2 Voluntary refund policy
As a goodwill gesture, we offer a refund within 7 days of your first subscription payment only, provided:
- You have used fewer than 10 credits;
- Your account has not been suspended for Terms violation;
- You request the refund via email to hello@univers.studio.
No refunds are provided for subsequent billing cycles, used credits, or accounts terminated for abuse.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Share or resell access to your account, API keys, or generated credits
- Automate or scrape the Service using bots, scripts, crawlers, or any automated means without our written permission
- Reverse engineer the Service, its algorithms, or its source code
- Circumvent rate limits, credit limits, or any technical protection measures
- Redistribute the Service itself — you may not copy, mirror, white-label, or resell the tool or platform
- Upload illegal content including copyrighted material you don't own, CSAM, or content that violates any applicable law
- Use the Service for spam or mass-generate content to manipulate search engines or marketplaces
- Train AI models — you may not use Generated Content to train, fine-tune, or improve any machine learning or artificial intelligence model
8. Rate Limits and Fair Use
To ensure a fair experience for all users, we enforce rate limits on the number of generations per minute and per hour. These limits depend on your plan.
Abusive usage patterns (e.g., rapid automated requests, abnormal volumes) may result in temporary throttling or account suspension. We will attempt to notify you before any permanent action.
9. API Access
The Commercial plan includes API access, subject to the following additional rules:
- API keys are strictly personal and must not be shared, published, or embedded in client-side code.
- API usage is subject to the same rate limits and credit system as the web interface.
- We reserve the right to revoke API keys immediately in case of abuse, excessive load, or Terms violation.
- API access does not grant any rights beyond those described in these Terms and the License Agreement.
10. Commercial License
Paid plans include a commercial use license. See our License Agreement for the full terms of what you can and cannot do with Generated Content.
In summary:
- You CAN use Generated Content in books, products, worksheets, and print-on-demand items (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, etc.)
- You CAN sell physical and digital products containing your generated pages
- You CANNOT resell the raw generated files as-is (e.g., selling a ZIP of PNGs)
- You CANNOT claim the generation tools or algorithms as your own
The License Agreement is an integral part of these Terms and is legally binding.
11. Intellectual Property
11.1 Your content
You retain all rights to the images you upload. We do not store, share, or use your uploaded images for any purpose beyond processing your request.
11.2 Generated output
Content generated from your own images belongs to you, subject to the License Agreement. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your source images do not infringe on third-party rights.
11.3 No exclusivity or uniqueness guarantee
Generated Content may be similar to content generated for other users using similar inputs. We do not guarantee uniqueness or exclusivity of any output.
11.4 Our platform
The Univers Studio name, logo, website design, tools, algorithms, and source code are our exclusive property. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or copy our platform.
12. Image Processing and Privacy
Uploaded images are processed in memory and discarded immediately after generation. We do not store your images on our servers.
We may log technical metadata (IP addresses, timestamps, tools used, credit consumption) for security, billing, and abuse prevention purposes. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
13. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- Complying with the terms and policies of any platform where you publish (Amazon KDP, Etsy, IngramSpark, etc.)
- Respecting third-party rights (trademarks, trade names, copyrights) in your source images and final products
- The editorial content of your publications
Univers Studio cannot be held responsible for any account suspension, content removal, or takedown action by a third-party platform.
14. No Professional Advice
The Service does not provide legal, copyright, publishing, or marketplace compliance advice. Any information on our website (including this page, the License page, and our blog) is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional counsel. Consult a qualified professional for legal or business advice.
15. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free access
- Specific quality results for all image types
- That Generated Content will not resemble existing works or content generated for other users
- Any commercial result, sales volume, or ranking on any platform
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Univers Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, takedown actions by third-party platforms, or copyright claims.
Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you have actually paid to Univers Studio in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
16. Force Majeure
Univers Studio shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: cloud infrastructure outages, hosting provider failures, internet disruptions, cyberattacks, natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or war.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Univers Studio from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, including claims that your Generated Content infringes on third-party rights.
18. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms — in particular in cases of file redistribution, account sharing, or automated abuse. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@univers.studio.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email (for registered users) or via a notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
20. Consumer Mediation
In accordance with Articles L.611-1 and R.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, if you are a consumer residing in the European Union and a dispute arises that has not been resolved through our customer service (hello@univers.studio), you have the right to refer the matter free of charge to a certified consumer mediator.

You must first contact us to attempt to resolve the dispute amicably before referring the matter to the mediator. The mediator's decision is not binding.

21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
22. General Provisions
22.1 Survival
The following sections survive termination of these Terms: Definitions, Intellectual Property, No Exclusivity Guarantee, Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability, Force Majeure, Indemnification, and Governing Law.
22.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
22.3 Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the License Agreement and the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Univers Studio regarding the Service.
22.4 Assignment
We may assign or transfer these Terms (in whole or in part) in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, without your prior consent. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms.
